Five Months!

Our sweet Lydi is five months big!  Our life this month has included...
*Voting in a presidential election.  Lydia accompanied momma for this event.
*We all love walks with the "big girl" stroller.
*We celebrated her Lydia's first Halloween. She was Dorothy. We attended a Halloween party with our baby group, and passed out candy at home.
*Celebrated Lydia's first Thanksgiving in Keller. All of the cousins loved playing with her, and she loved them.
*Lydia wears size 3-6 month clothing, but has begun to grow out of them. She is still wearing a size two diaper.
*She is beginning to really like her paci.
*Lydia seems like she is beginning to understand people coming and going.
*She recognizes picture of mom and dad,
recognizes her dogs, and loves to watch little puppies play.
*She takes two bottles every day while mommy is at work.
*We stopped swaddling and it was, surprisingly, a non-event.
*We still have Lydia sleeping in her cradle in our room. Lydia will probably be ready to move out long before momma is.
*Nighttime sleep hasn't been as good since daylight savings. We never quite got on back on track. Thankfully, she still sleeps through most nights.
*So close to rolling back to belly but can't quite make it.
*At her four month appointment on November 7 she was 16 lbs 13 oz 90% and 26 1/2 inches 75%.

She typically sleeps with her hands up.  This is her out of the swaddle and on to the sleep sack.

Probably my favorite of the baby in a pumpkin photo shoot.

Baby Dorothy needed a nap after playing with her cousins.

One last time to wear our pumpkin romper.

Swinging with Daddy.

A WHOLE family walk.

Christmas card photo shoot.

Happy baby, happy momma Thanksgiving break has arrived!

Playing with cousins on Thanksgiving.

My happy little turkey!

Fall Fun

After starting back to work, I started feeling the need to pack in as much fun as possible when home.  Saturdays became family fun day. My eyes would pop open, and we would plan that day's adventure. Most of the Saturdays included some sort of Fall fun. We visited pumpkin patches, nurseries with Fall displays, and Nash farm for their Fall festival. Family fun extended to other days of the week as well.  We carved pumpkins, played with cousins, and passed out candy to the trick-or-treaters.  We had so much fun this Fall!  Having a little one to dress up, show new things, and take pictures of just makes everything sweeter.

Lydia became an expert at posing on pumpkins.
It was so hard to get a picture of all four looking at us.  GQ Rylan struck a lot of great poses while the girls weren't looking.

 Love these two first-born girls.
Real-life with three under three and one big patient big girl.
The cutest double chin that I have ever seen.
MeMe made this fun dress, and aunt Kasi made the cute bow.  These were taken at a nursery with a super cute fall display.  This is the way to go if you want to beat the crowd!
He wasn't as into our pumpkin photo fun, but played along for my benefit.
 Observing the pumpkin carving.

Moving in closer to the action.
Is it baby torture to put her in a cold pumpkin?
She came around to it by the end!  I loved the monogram Nick carved.  A perfect example of him executing a dream of mine, and even taking it to the next level.  I asked for a simple "L".

Only one is really looking, but no one is crying and everyone's eyes are open.  That counts as a success in my book.
 Cutest baby Dorothy I know!
 Halloween sussies.
 All for me?
Mrs. Potato head looks good with a bow on her head!
 Oh how I love her.
Ready to pass out the candy!
