Sweet Lydi is Three Months

Another month has passed with sweet, sweet Lydia in our lives.  Here's what she's been up to...

• This month firsts have included a college soccer game, Canton for First Monday, meeting her great grandma, sitting in the Bumbo, wearing socks, visiting Marmee's house and Grapefest.
• She is infatuated with the fan.
• Giggles and smiles come a lot easier.
• Loves water at bath time, getting her face washed with a washcloth each morning while getting dressed, and lotion rubbed on her cheeks.
• We are greeted almost every morning with giant smiles from her cradle.
• Still sleeps like a champ at night.  The record is 11.5 hours between feeds-she slept about 10.5 hours straight.  She does NOT like bedtime though, and fights hard to stay awake.
• Sleeping in a SwaddleMe or Miracle blanket each night.  She can break free by morning, but it helps her calm down to sleep and keeps her warm.  We are dreading the day when we have to break her from the swaddle.
• Does not love to nap.  She is a champion cat napper.  This is in large part my fault.  I like to run around meeting people for lunch dates, play dates, etc.  Most days she just dozes on her way to and from outings.  She doesn't want to miss any action.
• Does not love tummy time, but is her neck is getter much stronger when she sits up on our legs.
• Usually eats 6-8 times per day.  I've been paying more attention to this as I prepare to go back to work.
• Polishing off the last few size one diapers.  We will be in twos within a couple of days.
• Wearing size 0-3 month clothes still, but many days I go to get her dressed only to find an outfit too small.  We are starting to wear 3-6 months or 6 month things.
• We have discovered support group at the hospital.  It has become our happy place.  We get to see the other babies, talk to other moms, and eat the good ice!
• I go back to work this week.  I am not sure how I will handle being away from her.  I am just indescribably sad.  I have no idea how I will get my work finished, pump, and get home at a decent hour.

You are momma's good girl.  Daddy and I look at each other and can't believe we are lucky enough to have such a sweet and precious girl.  We thank God for you each day.  You are truly the most amazing gift we could've been blessed with.  We just love to watch you grow and learn new things.  We have soaked up every single minute of these special days.  I consciously knew they were a gift that would be gone too soon.  I never expected life with you to be so fun!
