Summer Love

We sure do love summer! When else does a normal Tuesday contain so much fun?

Hanging out with this bride-to-be!

Finally catching the, "oh my gosh, I love this food" face on film.  It is a terrible quality picture - we had to snap a screenshot of a video to catch it!

Meeting the daddy for some splash pad fun and a picnic before bedtime.

We are loving this stage with our girl. Every single day is an adventure!

LVB is 10 Months Old

We are getting so close to one year, and how is flying.  It is definitely springtime in Texas, and we are enjoying the nice weather every chance we get with our girl.  This month Lydia:
  • Waves bye-bye to everyone.
  • Went on her first zoo trip with Mommy and Daddy plus Kamdyn, Mrs. Kristen, and Mr. Chris.  She enjoyed it.  Especially the birds and the otters.
  • Loved celebrating Easter with an egg hunt, Good Friday celebration at our house, Easter service at church, the zoo and museum on Easter Sunday, and a visit from the Easter bunny.  In Lydia fashion she seemed to "get" that Easter was special.  She loved playing with eggs, wearing her bunny ears, and playing with her duckies from the egg hunt.
  • Went to the FTW museum twice and saw the titanic exhibit once.  We got an annual membership, and hope to go back soon.
  • Had her mom resign at work - effective at the end of the year.  Lydia is very excited to spend more time with Momma, and Momma couldn't agree more!
  • Got to hang out with Anise and Diana at basketball.  Daddy was there too, but the girls were in charge.
  • Took photos in the bluebonnets for the first time.  What will, hopefully, become an annual tradition.
  • Had a rare Saturday at home with just Mom.  We enjoyed a tea party, a walk, bubbles, and almost pulled up to standing on a flower pot outside.
  • Wore two-piece big girl jammies for the first time.
  • Rode Thomas the train with her cousins.
  • Has so many new tricks!
    • said yay!
    • sat up on her own on the floor and in her bed
    • pulled to standing on Momma
    • army crawled
    • said Greta
Lydia's first Easter dress.  This was after church on Saturday evening.

Her basket from the Easter bunny. Bubbles, jammies, bibs, a watering pot, a few little toys, and eggs filled Cheerios.

I am pretty sure we took the cutest animal at the zoo home with us.

Two sweet girls!

Playing with her Easter sussies.

Hanging out at the gym on a Wednesday afternoon.

So many faces.

Tea time with Momma!

Sweet girl!

Bluebonnet photos with a ten-month-old baby is a race to get the photo before the flowers go into the mouth.

A baby straight out of the tub is my very favorite kind.

First big girl jammies.

She pulled up, so its time to lower the crib.

So proud of this new trick!

Playing with bath toys while Momma gets ready.

It was a fun day at Thomas with the cousins.

Each month is sweeter than the last!

Nine Months in and Nine Months Out

It's hard to believe that we've had our girl in our arms as long as she was in my belly.  This month she:
  • slept in her big girl bed all night long and did great
  • sleeping through the night is back on track now that she is in her own room
  • got her top two teeth
  • watched Briley cheer
  • pulls up to knees using her chair
  • met Baby Abram and Marinn
  • went to Stillwater and saw an OSU basketball game
  • soaked up every second of Spring Break 2013
    • played in the sunshine
    • Build a Bear and lunch with the R's
    • Playdate at Lydia's house
    • Baylor group and lunch with friends
    • Ridglea's candy party 2nd birthday
  • tried green beans
  • rolling to get to objects
  • really interacting with us - we are truly playing together now
  • enjoyed her first snowcone, blowing bubbles, and being outside - springtime has arrived
  • first of many tea parties with Momma
  • hunted eggs in the park
She is growing so fast and each day is more fun than the one before!  Spring break was a sneak peak into summer, and I cannot wait to spend each day with this girl.

Trying to get to her knees.

Duck Dynasty party with Momma's team.  When we got home Lydia went to sleep in her own room.

Briley is funny!

Working on her serious model face.

Cattlebarn flea market

Lydia's first snowcone on opening week.  She chose the exotic flavor of "ice".  She loved it.  Momma's girl for sure.

Eat at Joe's

Go Pokes!

First OSU basketball game.

We thought swimming in the indoor hotel pool was a great idea, but it was freezing.  At least she looked cute, right?

Don't let her fool you.  She didn't sleep well in this bed.

Enjoying the first day of Spring Break in the sunshine.

The only nap she's ever taken in a stroller since we stopped using her infant carrier.

My sidekick at the fabric store.  What a good helper she is.

With the birthday girl.  Hard to believe our Ridglea is TWO!

Celebrating shamrocks in style.

Tea party!

Ready for the bunny!

Marmee met us for an egg hunt.  It was divided up by age.  There weren't many babies there because it was kind of cool and wet, so Lydia scored lots of eggs, bubbles, and rubber duckies.

Happy to hang out with the big bunny.

These pictures are a little harder to get each month, so don't mind the blurry hand.

Eight Months Big!

Every day is a new adventure with our Lydia.  This month she:
  • is on the move
  • rolls back and forth and scoots on her back across the room
  • tried pureed pears, avocado, banana, and baked sweet potato sticks
  • was dedicated at church
  • scratches different textures with her nails
  • helped mommy get bulletin boards finished at school
  • went to the Perot museum
  • enjoyed brunch with her baby friends
  • visited with lots of cousins - The James, Bagley, Skelly, and Smith families
  • finally has complete bedding in her room - maybe some day she will stay the night in there
  • went to Daddy's state tournament games
  • has a difficult time staying asleep at night
  • had a painting made by momma and daddy for her room
  • celebrated Valentine's day by making Daddy a special book and receiving her first ever flowers from him
  • got to attend Momma's Valentine's party at school with Mrs. Amy and Drew - Mommy loved having her Valentine with her at school

This month has brought the challenge and fun of having a mobile baby.  She isn't too fast yet, but getting faster each day.  It took a LONG time, but Lydia's bedding is now complete.  It will be time to make the transition to a full-time crib sleeper soon.  I am afraid that her cradle is why she is having a difficult time sleeping.  I am making all of Lydia's food.  It hasn't been as big of a deal as I anticipated since she doesn't really like food much.  She is still so happy and sweet, and we are so lucky she is ours.

Hanging with Daddy in her sportswear.

Helping momma at school.

Momma and Daddy bought this dress for Raigen on their cruise 10 years ago!

We are ready with our hearts.

My funny Valentine.

Photoshoot outakes

More sportswear

Perot museum fun

Love her!

Heart jammies from aunt Kasi.  I think she is pretty comfy in there.

School party day

I think I'm ready to stay the night mom.

Cheering on Daddy's team in the state tournament.
